Now offering riding lessons in hunt seat, jumping, beginner-gaited, beginner- western, and dressage!

Hiwassee College Equestrian Center is pleased to offer riding lessons in a variety of disciplines for all levels of riders from the first-time rider to the experienced competitor.  Hiwassee College Equestrian Center’s experienced teaching staff emphasizes correct basics and good horsemanship skills for a safe and fun experience.  Our well-schooled lesson horses allow those who do not own horses to gain confidence and riding skills.  Horse owners are welcome to trailer-in their own horses for lessons.

Hiwassee College Equestrian Center is pleased to welcome Tollie Banker to our training staff! 

Tollie Banker brings a wealth of experience in hunters and jumpers to Hiwassee Equestrian Center.  Tollie began riding in her hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1985.  She moved to Tennessee in 1987, bought her first horse, and has owned at least one horse ever since!

Tollie has trained extensively in hunters and jumpers, as well as dressage.  In addition to becoming a certified riding instructor in 1999, Tollie has organized and taught several children's riding camps, trained multiple horses for the hunter ring, and will be teaching both hunters and jumpers for Hiwassee College with the addition of the new 4-year degree program.
