Board Rates

Full Care Board $325

  • Stall cleaned daily, fresh bedding added as needed
  • Turn-out (Day turn-out in winter, Night turn-out in summer)
  • Twice daily feedings (Additional feeding can be arranged if necessary.  Additional charges may apply depending upon the amount of feed given.)
  • Quality hay free from dust and mold
  • Individualized nutrition program featuring Triple Crown Legends Horse Feed (Any other Triple Crown or Southern States feed can be substituted for horses requiring different nutritional needs.  Additional charges may apply depending on cost of substituted feed.)
  • Free choice salt
  • Feed and water buckets scrubbed weekly
  • Blanketing services at no extra charge
  • Light grooming if needed at no extra charge
  • Use of facilities
  • Horse Trailer Parking
  • Feeding of supplements at no extra charge (Supplements must be provided by owner)
  • Deworming (Every two months, 3-way rotation) charged to board for cost of dewormer.  No fee for administration of dewormer.

  • 24/7 turn-out

  • Hay fed as needed

Training and Lesson Rates

Full Training with Full Care Board $725

  • Horse ridden 5 days per week (Monday-Friday)

Full Training with Pasture Care Board $575

  • Horse ridden 5 days per week (Monday-Friday)

Partial Training with Full Care Board $525

  • Horse ridden 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Partial Training with Pasture Care Board $375

  • Horse ridden 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Dressage Lessons $35

  • 45 minute lesson

Hunt Seat or Jumping Lessons with Tollie Banker $35

  • 45 minute lesson

Services and Fees

 

Tack Cleaning

All leather items cleaned with Belvoir Leather Cleaner and Conditioner.

  • Snaffle Bridle  $10
  • Full Bridle  $15
  • Western Headstall  $10
  • Dressage or jumping saddles  $15
  • Western Saddles  $25

Laundry Services

Fees apply to winter-type blankets only.  All other laundered items are washed free of charge.
  • All winter blankets, sheets, and turn-outs $25 each

Additional Care Fee

Any services performed by Hiwassee Equestrian Center staff for your horse’s medical needs will be charged.  You may perform any medical needs or procedures yourself if you do not wish to be charged.

  • Hand-walking (30 minutes twice daily) $15
  • Administering medications (other than feed-thru medications)  $5 per dose
  • Changing Bandadges  $15
  • Cold Hosing (30 minutes twice daily)  $15
  • Icing (15 minutes twice daily)  $15
  • Additional Bedding $5 per load
  • Additional Hay  $6.50 per bale
Additional bedding and hay fees will be applied to horses requiring stall rest with no turn-out.

Grooming Services

  • Bath  $25
  • Mane and Tail Conditioning Treatment  $15
  • Body Clip (Includes bath, body clipping, and skin moisturizing treatment)  $165
  • Pain-Free Mane Pulling  $40
  • Traditional Mane Pulling  $65
  • Dressage Trim and Bang Tail  $15
  • Facial Trim (Includes whiskers, bridle path, and jaw line)  $25
