Hiwassee Equestrian Center is the home of the Equestrian Studies program at Hiwassee College. In addition to offering an ideal educational environment for equestrian studies students, Hiwassee Equestrian Center is a first-class boarding and training facility open to the public. Our philosophy is simple...the horse comes first! We specialize in providing the very best care for your horse. Hiwassee Equestrian Center offers full care and pasture care board for the public, as well as for Hiwassee College students.
Although the main training focus of Hiwassee Equestrian Center is dressage, the barn is open to all disciplines. Hiwassee Equestrian Center offers dressage instruction and training, hunter/jumper instruction, and basic riding instruction for beginners in western and gaited.
Hiwassee College Equestrian Studies
Hiwassee College's Equestrian Studies 4-year degree program offers a B.A in Equine Management and Training and B.S. in Equine Science! The Equestrian Studies program offers two tracts of study for students. The Equine Science tract is a pre-veterinary study with an equine focus and the Equine Management and Training tract is for students who wish to pursue a career in the equine industry as a trainer, riding instructor, barn manager, etc. Hiwassee Equestrian Center is home to all of the horses used in the Equestrian Studies program. Christy Lynn Hart Dressage
Hiwassee Equestrian Center is the training barn of upper-level dressage rider, Christy Lynn Hart. Offering quality instruction and training in dressage, Christy is currently accepting new students and horses in training.
